Originally titled “Doubles”, a reference to the second station in skeet shooting where two targets are launched simultaneously, this painting was created as a sample piece for Chuck’s commercial work. The illustration features his twin brother Richard (shooter with moustache) posing alongside family friend Art Bennett (with beret). Chuck’s storyline for the painting described a country boy showing up at a gentlemen’s shooting event and outgunning the much better dressed and equipped sophisticates. Also featured is Richard’s beagle “Buddy” as well as the Remington 1100 12 gauge he had purchased for Chuck as a gift.
